A Luxury Retreat at The Almanage with Paula O’ Hanlon
As the days light grows shorter and nights become longer, it’s time for us to work in harmony with nature and begin to let go lovingly, retreat to ourselves.
This beautiful time of year is about rest, reflection and finding strength in our selves through the practice of Yoga, meditation and sound in the stunning surrounds and natures embrace of the Knockmealdown mountains.
5:00 PM | Welcome & settling. Short overview of the retreat followed by 10-15 min gentle movement and quiet sitting
6:30 PM | Evening Dinner
8.30 AM | Breakfast & unwind
10:00 AM | Introduction, exploring the theme and intentions
10:30 AM | Yoga practice, working closely with movement and breath in synchronization and exploring the relationship between breath and movement
11:30 AM | Teabreak
12:00 PM | Introduction to and practice gentle seated breathing. Learning and exploring helpful breathing techniques paying particular attention to exhale
1:00 PM | Lunch
2:30 PM | Exploring working with sound and learning simple chants such as ‘Ma aham’
3:30 PM | Mindful walk around garden. Positive gratitude for nature and our surroundings. Opportunity to experience nature through the senses
4:15 PM | Short gentle movement, discussion, observations
4:30 PM | Closing practice for the day
5:30 | Departure
